I am surprised at all the mentions of theft of tractors, if a tractors is stolen, then the trailers comes along for the ride. It is unfortunate, any load is worth. With that... I pay about $12 a month for my gps system. It also gives me my specified dates, with all stops, locations, address', time durations, etc. This is strictly for my records, and grabbing info from the past, research, etc. I have a few kill switches, so you better have a lot of time on your hands, to figure out where the switches are, and which ones should be activated, good luck. (maybe we should have a diy section for o/o's. Same with my car, even when I was a kid, I would pull the fuel pump fuse out. Cheapest anti theft device ever. Never wasted money on an alarm.

Hmmm, and here I always thought a stollen transponder could be "flagged". They seem to have no problem telling the driver behind me when I haven't paid my bill on time. (Balance is LOW!)

Yup, you're absolutely right; it just takes time to be processed as "stolen", or "not registered to the plate", etc - long enough to get several hundred miles with a stolen transponder. Though, the audit trail of the transpoder could lead law enforcement in the general direction the stolen truck took.

In reference to a previous post - if a thief is even semi-professional, he must be really stupid to presume a transponder can become a tracking device/GPS...just sayin...
