We just lost a driver with your experience level and age. I suspect he may have had your philosophy about driving. He rolled his truck and was then hit by a garbage truck. Drive how you want, but take his passing as a warning.

I can drive faster, but then I'm blowing my profits right out the stack. With fuel where it is I can't out drive the cost of the extra fuel. I don't need to drive 70+ mph to get the miles I need, I need Roehl to eliminate all the downtime on and between loads.

oh really Roehl had a 21 yr old driver with almost 4 years exp?:biggrin_2558:

And so did we, we just had a 22yr old roll and die 2 weeks ago....and whats that have to do with me being able to do the speed limit???

Who gives a flip about you leasing a truck???? I dont care if you just want to pay the bills or bank money. If a driver is going to spend weeks or months away from home they might as well be working and makeing money, not sitting around playing with themselves and spending what little money they have in the TS...

You may want to change your experience level since it says you've only been a trucker for less than a year. Unless I missed something, this is about Roehl and the experience of Roehl drivers. If you want to be another supertrucker go right ahead, but my advice and experiences in this sub-forum are those of a Roehl driver directed at other Roehl drivers. I'm sorry but unless you drive for Roehl, your experience in areas such as mileage, pay and company relations isn't very relevant.

Really, so we should let new drivers go to work for companies that can only offer a driver 2500 or less miles a week????? I dont think so the point of this forum is to HELP other drivers, not let them think 2500 miles is a great week! 4000 miles is a great week BIG differance

Supertrucker????? WTF are you talking about, I do my job that simple. You want to sit around and gaurd truck stops all day...have at it. Thats not why im out here.

I was commenting on HD's comment about those miles seeming low, so what i had to say was perfectly relavent. :biggrin_25522:

And i know what my profile says, i have it like that for a reason:biggrin_2558:

Look, this area is about Roehl. I'm not going to argue with you, if you want to recruit for your company by coming into this or any other company sub-forum just be up front about it.

HD had questions about Roehl and as a Roehl driver I answered his questions based on my experience with this company. The great thing about this Forum is that it has such a cross section of companies that with a bit of research any prospective driver can figure out which company is likely to be the best fit for his or her needs. You have found the right company for you and that is great, obviously Roehl isn't that company. From what you have said Roehl would drive you insane. There is no fudging logs with Roehl and they don't want to see drivers averaging over sixty miles an hour. Their company trucks are governed at 61 on the cruise and 63 on the pedal.

You have fun running 700+ miles per day. If that is what you need to do to make a living, well I guess I'll see you upsidedown in a ditch somewhere. That seems to be where all the "Supertruckers" end up. I would rather have a job that gets me 2400-2700 per week, at .45 cpm that is all I need. I make a good living and get my beauty sleep...:biggrin_25523:

It has been a few years ago but I always got 10000 miles a month running national. I only was home 5 days a month so all I had to average was 400 miles a day. When freight was really good I averaged 7500-8000 miles a month as a 7/7 trainer. When freight slowed down I still got 6500-7000 miles.

I'm on the 14/7 fleet and average 31-3200 miles per week.
