So you decided swift sucks based upon the fact you saw students picked up every 3 weeks? pre-judging are we? Swift driver running a 4-wheeler into the median? maybe the 4-wheeler deserved it.. Another driver pulling off the shoulder into a blind pool of water. Isnt all puddles of water "blind"? yet i'm sure you've driven thru your fair share, and got lucky it wasnt 3 ft deep. Or how you said "watching a driver take exactly 62 pull-ups". What is more sad, is that you sat there and counted them, rather than act like a professional, and get out and help them. Oh but wait....you cant be seen helping a swift driver out, for fear you'll look like an outcast like it was high school or something, right? you're probably the same type of driver who will flash a 'thank you' to a driver who blinks you over when passing............AS LONG AS IT ISNT A SWIFT DRIVER. Right?? I see that all too often. Then i get on the CB and call them out on it. Naturally, they ignore me.
We all can't be super hobby truckers........but then again, you probably NEVER have had a 'bad day' where your backing skills just go out the window. Or maybe that parking spot was super tight?? Odds are you didnt pay any attention to that....were too busy counting using chicken scratches, cause you probably can't count to 62 in your head. Who cares how many times a driver has to pull up anyway. did they hit anything? isnt that the most important thing?? its pretty obvious appearance means more than ability.....
Swift, had a dumb swift driver hold up the shipping dock

When I went from Seattle to Portland a few weeks back, I saw 3 Oak Harbor Frieght trucks, in totally separate incidents tailgating. Guess I would be correct in assuming that this is how all Oak Harbor drivers drive.
gdyupgal Thanks this. -
I think they are driving circles because they can't find their way out of the T/S.

Most Swift drivers I met (Swift driver myself) are more than decent. Some helped me with comdata checks. I wasn't taught how to do it, but Swift could have covered how to do it in orientation. Yes, I know someone is going to reply by saying it is common sense but they could have covered it.
I have been (while solo) honked at, screamed at because my truck won't go past 62mph (governed). Swift is like a cheap pimp on a San Francisco street corner from the 70's with a smelly ##### but he thinks he is as clean as a bar of soap. -
I go to Swift orientation on Monday. I am already having minor problems. It is going to be an adventure.

I am not sure what Swift is like these days, but I do recall many of the issues I had with them back in 90-91. The biggest issue was the de-centralized dispatch. Once you were in another terminal's area you were basically at their mercy. I recall one time after being out for 5 weeks I had to threaten to just drive home to Phoenix to get home, after being bounced from LA to SF for 5 weeks.
