Troy (PAUL TRANSPORTATION) from Enid O.K.

well happypappy, i drive for daryl thomason, i see paul drivers quite often at places i go. everyone ive talked to says its a good company, treated well and all, home on weekends. but just slow, like everywhere. thats really about all i know.

 

I DROVE FOR THEM FOR A FEW MONTHS AND HAD A GREAT DISPATCHER. THE OTHER PEOPLE WAS A DIFFERENT STORY. THEY STARTED SHORTING ME ON TRIPS, KEEPING ME OUT OVER THE WEEKEND FOR 300 MILE RUNS AND I WOULD HAVE TO SIT IN A TRUCKSTOP OVER THE WEEKEND. THEY WILL KEEP YOUR FINAL CHECK IF THE TRUCK ISNT RETURNED TO OKC. I RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE HOUSTON YARD AND THE TRIED TO KEEP MY MONEY.

 

Did a google search and found that Paul Transportation went into bankruptcy a year ago or so. Any comments in that regard? Anybody know anything as to how that would affect your decision to work for them? (if I decide to show up, I'm going to OK next week to start a dedicated run for them)

 

The bankruptcy is over and things are on the upswing. They went threw some tuff times in 2009 and 2010 like a lot of trucking companies did and a lot went out of business. They down sized and laid off several office people and drivers. Since then they have paid the people or companies they owed, picked up some new accounts and are moving forward. What dedicated account are you going to do tut?

 

Be running from outside of Omaha, NE to north central KS.

 

I assume that you must the Paul guys that are running Valmont from Valley, Ne to Salina, Ks to their plant there. I run for FCC and have seen a lot of your trucks in their lately.

 

The run all red Peterbilt 379's, 389's and 386's with aluminum Retinour flats.

 

paul transportation is not a very good company to work for i worked for them for 5 years and they constantly blame you for things u dont have any control of, flats, damage to trucks and trlrs these things com out of ur chk $500 at a time its ur responsability for ur trk to get in the shop ur DM does not care all he/she is worried about is the nxt ld ull constantly wait at the shop for repairs since jon left there is no one who cares about the drvrs in the shp i wrkd for the dedctd outfit out of sapupla this is an hourly pay position and cuz of favortism i got move to another account and due to that account slowing down i had to leave to find something else to pay my bills these people simply dont care about there drvrs unless u hve been ther b4 all of troys womenizing hell thats why he filed backrupcy he didnt care that it was putting drvrs out of wrk id stay away from this place they cannot keep u moving
