I am 57 years old, and considering getting my CDL. After getting my CDL considering my age what would be my chances of getting hired?

Your age is not an issue. Make sure the other ducks (health, meds, MVR, work history, etc) are in a row.
johnday, kentgustafson, 123456 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I started driving at 64, age was never an issue. Four years later and it still has never been mentioned.

Most companies want the young meat in their seats, however, you just have to look around.

I had no trouble getting into it at 54.
-
Most companies won't admit to it,
but alot of them use 70 as a cut off. -
I started at 46, no issues...

#### i'm 22 and got in with a company that has never hired out of school before or under 25 before. I dont think its an issue, if anything you should have more luck than me, so if i can do that you can do even better

I agree, I will turn 22 soon but finding someone to hire you when under 23 is super hard(unless you go for the mega carrier). Companies are willing to hire but their insurance have a lot to say. I got regular licence the day I turned 16, never had a single ticket issued, yet these insurance companies wont accept young drivers. You should not have a problem finding someone to hire you.

My roommate was 59 and he had no problem.
As long as everything else is good, you shouldn't have a problem.
