I believe the proper term for us northern rednecks is hick. I would greatly appreciate it if we used proper nomenclature when insulting one another.

Since I'm a college educated hick, should I hang a hand-formed silver cowbell from my trailer? Although we still need more information before establishing how the cowbell is earned, and what it means exactly.

If I wear a red collared (note the difference between colored and collared) shirt, would I then be classified as a redneck?

How does being a blue-collared worker affect one's redneck status?

What about having a farmer's tan?

Does anyone else realize the importance of symbolism within a given culture?

Whether that culture is defined by a profession or geographic region, the symbols of that culture are very important to the identity of the group and the individuals that make up that group. Generally people are proud of the symbols within their culture, and insulting a culture often results in strong feelings being expressed and possibly violence.

If the tomfoolery and shenanigans are over now, I would like to read some more stories from trucking's past.

By the way, if I had a problem with the way the administration was moderating the site, I might bring it up with one or all of them, rather than whining about it in someone else's thread, which is otherwise unrelated. That's just me though.

I've got a buddy that haul cattle out of south Florida and as someone stated before the bell is to keep you safe on your run.(keeps the gremlins away) Just a superstitious thing.

He operates on his own agenda and so far it has done nothing but offend me.

Based on what I have witnessed I would guess his politics are what get the threads he likes shut down. He just can't leave them at home.
