well I'm running short on my 70 hour clock, I'm either gonna have to take a 34 hour restart after I deliver or seriously drag my feet on the next load or two. So it might work out. I regret a lot of things, mainly not taking a picture of every truck I've driven. That's one thing I really wish I'd done.

Thanks, yah I don't mind going a little out of route. looks like either Milford or the TA at Milldale since I'm gonna be going on 84 after all. I should be there around noon tomorrow, just gotta get my 10 here and head that way.

your best bet is I80 to I287n. go over tappan zee bridge then 287 will take you to 95. not a bad ride.

If you are going to run the NYS Thruway to the Tappan Zee Bridge on a Sunday, do it very early. Sunday afternoons and evenings the T-way and the Tap get all boogered up with weekenders heading back south. I live right off exit !6 on the T-way and have run your route a few times. I would recommend route 84, across the Newburgh Beacon to exit 10 (Connecticut exit 10) and grab route 25 south to Bridgeport. Nice scenic ride, cheaper and much less less traffic. Have a safe trip.

I avoid running the cross bronk and the GW at all costs. If you realy must then get thru there buy 6am at the latest. I just ran thru there saturday morning about 5.30 am and ran right thru no issues and came back thru around 7.30 am and still no issues which was a shock to me. The GW is $40 bucks if you have no easy pass plus you have the toll on the new england section. Going 84 is only $7.50 and only about 20 to 30 minutes longer and the road is much better.

You all have convinced me. Really, in hindsight, a professional driver should always take the safest, most efficient route and save the sight-seeing for his/her 4-wheeler time I suppose.

Your next load is in the Bronx anyways! :biggrin_25523:
Definately avoid 95 during rush hour. It turns into a parking lot all the way across CT.

HU! If for some reason you have to go into RI, trucks have to detour the restricted Pawtucket bridge on I-95. Up to $5000 fine.

When heading to the Bronx from Bridgeport, if 95 is jammed, jump on 287 west to 87 south and run the Deegan into the Bronx.
