I've been driving for 2 1/2 years, I was wondering what some people opinions are on what my scale or where about I should be paid per mile?

Well? What is your pay per mile or what is a/the scale ?
Freebird135 Thanks this. -
I think many things come into play. How many jobs have you had in that time? What does your MVR and criminal history look like? What's on your DAC? All these things affect your employability and the options you have.
Someone with two and a half years of experience, a five and a half year old felony, an accident & moving violation in the past three years and who has worked at four companies would be lucky to have a job at any rate. -
OTR I would say around .35. Though there are short haul paying quite a bit more. Always negotiate with a recruiter and shoot for more. You never know. I started .02 higher than stated on my last job.

I'm at 33 cents a KM and yes i mean KM not mile, its good to be Canadian eh!!!!

Well here is my deal, Heartland approved me to go to their orientation. I was pulled over in my own car for speeding and had a few drinks. I blew a .08 and was arrested. The judge gave me a PBJ which is considered a not guilty. I have no points or accidents on my record and also no sign of any alcohol violations on my MVR. I feel lucky that I'm getting this chance. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for my situation?? I made a mistake and trying to pull myself out of this mess.

That's pretty much Heartlands call. If I were doing the hiring you wouldn't make the cut. I can understand making a mistake. Either speeding or .08 and maybe I give you a chance. Both combined no way.

That's a little more than 53¢ a mile. Where do I sign up?
-
What do you mean both combined no way? The speeding isn't anywhere to be found because it was thrown out. The .08 is on my record as a "not guilty"? Why wouldn't I make your cut? -
With all due respect let me explain my thoughts, which most likely follow Wsyrob's. Over the years I have sat on the employer side of the hiring desk too.
First let me say I don't pass judgment on or ridicule people for their mistakes. I live by "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". This isn't me so I keep my stones in my pocket.
You surely realize the image of the truck driver isn't what it used to be. And I hope you want to improve that image by being a professional. You also know when you air your dirty laundry on a public forum you are bound to take some lumps. I don't think it is real logical to expect professional drivers to welcome others that they feel may not uphold the professional image. Time alone is the only thing that will prove whether this doubt is justified.
The facts remain whether you are required to disclose them or not. You made a decision to operate a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Then you either made a decision or were unaware enough of what you were doing to exceed the speed limit. With all due respect this shows a pattern of behavior that has no place in a professional driver. The speeding while buzzed would be indicative of arrogance or ignorance, which again have no place in a professional driver.
Im sure this wont make you happy but you did ask. There arent many who can say they havent taken the wheel when buzzed. I did when I was younger. What most of us can say is we operated like mister legal to avoid detection.
If you have truly taken responsibility for your actions and you are modifying your behavior then your response will reflect this. If this is the case I wish you the best. If you are offended by what I have written, with much care, you probably should do some soul searching.
