the best laid plans of mice and men..... now load pu is san antonio going to AR and back. less miles but we will get it in on this weeks check
-
We got our load delivered, then came over to a little truckstop.....while Debbie was backing up I was hearing this awful screeching sound.......come to find out that the air line the mechanic put on was cross-threaded and coming loose!!!........but we fixed it...LOL
-
Oh no....woman power. We will never hear the end of it.
Great job Anna -
Dropped the load in Hebron this morning and we are in Indianapolis picking up at Fedex to Mira Loma California tonight. Nice run and we are now living off of the hours we get back each night. Love it. Going to get a chance to see Anne's Mom at the end of this run.
Now I get to vent. Our load was a High Value Load, when they handed me the BOL, I see that it was 4200 empty plastic bins.....HIGH VALUE! I cannot believe we are expected to babysit empty plastic bins. Pretty funny. I called our weekend fleet manager and explained to him that I would be "sending in each macro 32 as required" He laughed and said he understood. -
glad someone started this thing up, lets see how far it will go now..i run a dedicated account out of college park, so im home every weekend, had my truck parked in a spot other trucks park at in a shopping center, well i get a call saturday night about 3am from US Express, someone had stolen my batteries, so i rushed up there, one of the other drivers was about to pull out and noticed his was gone so he looked over at my truck and sure enough they were gone too, crummy night, police did get a partial print, who knows maybe something will turn up, but my point is, i sat 7 hours today at Ellenwood waiting to have my batteries replaced, kinda thought that was ridiculous, killed my clock and couldnt make my delivery.
Im also wondering who out there has what i like to call my little friend, the onguard collision safety system? and is that not the worst invention for a truck ever made? -
Yeah, I am not a big fan of OnGuard. Except for one time. Running I70 across Kansas at 3:30 AM and a pickup truck with no lights on doing about 45 mph in my lane. I think OnGaurd saved his life and maybe mine.
-
i would have to agree,it probably saved everyones life that night, or at least a giant wreck, mine picks up vehicles in the left lane and thinks im about to crash and shuts the fuel off, i think its gonna wind up causing more wrecks than preventing!!! i can just see someone fresh out of training panic and not know what to do when it shuts you down like it does, i hope not of course but i just wonder if thats happened yet??
