    No because Google shares everything you do online with everyone. It tells people what you search for, what pics you up load, etc. Facebook at least lets you control your privacy.

    It's the information age. While facebook allows privacy to an extent, FB tracks any user's every move on the net just like google. so does yahoo, bing and most every one else these days. It's mainly about targeting ads = money

    I graduated with a guy who is a CEO of a company that tracks every time someone hits the like button on Facebook for marketing campaigns. It is big brother stuff!

    the plain and simple is if you don't want to be "tracked" don't get on the Internet period. facebook is leading the pack in tracking ones movements around their site as well as the net in general, so they can "cater" ad's to you. the ad's you see on social media are not the same one someone else is seeing right then, its all about the $$$

    Exactly, if you want privacy you better disconnect from the Internet, and remove the battery from your cell phone. still not gonna get it but it will make you feel better lol.. no such thing anymore.
