Well. For those going to TA. I have a request of you. Learn how to pretrip a trailer. If your trainer doesn't teach you anything else other than checking lites, their falling down on the job and you need to talk to training about it. Once you learn how to do a PTI, get any problems you find fixed!!!!! Am really tired of having to do that myself. I lost 4.5 hrs today and am going to lose this load because somebody else couldn't be bothered!!!!!
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Sorry about your misfourtunes with trailers. I have same problems at my company. Amongst other things, 14 trailer tires in 6 months! -
Guess thats just one of the hazards about working for companies that do D&H's. That and drvrs not being professional enough or caring enough to do their job. Between that issue, training, and just being treated like a child well, now you know why I'm leaving.

I just completed my 6 month truck lease last Thursday with Trans Am. I would have stayed with them if they would allow me to stay on as a company driver. I averaged 2800 miles a week over my 6 month run. With all of the fees charged to o/o driver my average take home was $470.00 per week. Company drivers consistently told me they averaged the same miles and took home $750.00 a week. Be a company driver and you may do okay. I don't recommend going lease with them. Hope this helps.
Panhandle flash and SteelGal Thank this. -
Gator, PLEASE tell me that at Trans Am, leasing is an OPTION, not mandatory. PLEASE tell me you can just be a company driver !
