Why don't you just leave that piece of crap company? They suck. If you like team, call Armellini. They have a terminal in Palm City, they pay well and you can be home weekly. They haul flowers.

I found during my short time at Werner they had this attitude that they didn't care if a driver stayed or went. That's probably how they feel about you guys too. Why should they care when they've got so many new people coming on? Figure each one of the 11 terminals does 2 orientation classes per week with 20-30 drivers per class. That's around about 440 (conservative figure) new drivers they hire a week.

Thanks rollover but they only ever make those threats over the phone, they know better than to give qualcomm evidence

They actually cared my wife and I were thinking of leaving. But we are a reliable team and are very beneficial to any otr company. Just wish they would get off our Butt about idle time during the summer.

Tell 'em you need an APU or you don't want to hear about idle time again.

My first truck (a 387 trk #49493) didnt have an APU either. i have been running Family $ out of Morehead KY. we consistantly run up into the midwest, and Michigan was usually my wed load. As i found out with a truck with no APU, it gets really cold if you dont run the truck. Starting in Feb my dispatcher began harping on me for my idle time being so high. i listen to the first couple of lectures, but then after hearing multiple lectures within weeks of each other i finally came out and told him that if he wanted the problem to solve itself than he needed to get me a truck with an APU. When Werner finally sold my Pete in May, my dispatcher called the springfield terminal before i got there and asked them to hold a truck with an APU for me (Huge shocker there).

As for not getting good miles, i would look into whatever they may have dedicated in your area. I am home every weekend, bring home is an average of $500 a week. and im a solo driver, teams on dedicated runs can make a lot more since they are able to be consistantly moving. I barely ever have to sit and wait for a load. i get a pre-assigned load as soon as i send my 2 that i have picked up my trailer for my current run. if it doesnt come through then i will usually get it the next morning. the only time ive had to sit and wait was when the DC was behind on getting loads out. And of course when i was in the shop, but we all know how Werner is about getting ANYTHING fixed when it comes to a company truck.

They keep comin' in the door at the rate they do, and this ####'ll keep happening. Someone SHOULD alert the likes of Dan Rather. Instead of ######## here, take it somewhere where it'll be seen and brought out in the open.

You state they only make threats on the phone correct?
Well then type in a qualcon msg. like this.
This is a follow up on our phone call about over idle time.
I need to stress to you that we have no apu on this unit and the temps here at present are over 100 degrees.
Please let us know if you will pay for a room or find us a ld.
That way idle time can be reduced.
Then see what their reply is.
If they call you and complain. Please reply over qualcom.
Sooner or later they will answer your qualcom msgs..

    truckerdave1970 Thanks this.
