how much power can i turn this up to??i had a ecm replaced in my truck back in dec.09 and had to take it back to cummins atlantic 3 times cause they sent the old ecm out without getting the programs ..anyway i think that either the truck was turned up or they just dont have the tq set right...i have to shift gears like never before ... and its killing me ...the truck is a freightliner dump cummins m11+ 280hp with 1050tq at 1800 i think the trans is a rto14709mll, and rear gear is 4.11 with 11.22.5 tires in the back and 425.65.22.5 in the front ...the guy that works on my truck tells me no dont do it you my blow it but man he's not the 1 gotta shift this gears all the time.... right now have see 6.7/7mpg and runs about 75 tops loaded ...so what your thoughts guys how much and would you turn the wick up or just the tq for the pulling??? thanks mike

also i have heard of people saying the bully dog type of stuff will work is that so???

Gentelmen! try to work with CPLs. Sometimes to improve engine HP we had to change some power related parts.

Mine is rated at 400hp, but 99% of the time i only use about 350hp of the 400hp. dont want to wear it out too quickly.

M11 is gutless, but very reliable. more reliable N14. The only bad thing I wanna say - one cyl. head. It is heavy and it is not so easy to remove cyl. head.

hey pablo, you are so right about the cyl head being heavy, I lifted mine out by hand by myself, its a very heavy sucker, I think over a 100lbs or more next time Im useing a crane or block and tackle.

the problem is to fit it back. w/o crane it is easy to damage gasket.

Now cummins makes ISM. it is greate engine too. No usual for ISX problems.

Here we have E3-E5 calibrated ISMe. The only thing I wanna add to this ECM - cyl. self ballancing like Volvo and Mercedes do!
