When the speed limit was 65 the cops gave a 10 over window.
Now that its 75..... the overage window is very small.
CO who has been pretty lax for many years now has their over head signs reading "75 means 75, no tolerance".
Anyone know if I can get out of a log book violation?

With the price of diesel, I run my truck at more economical speeds. Anything more and it is just going out the exhaust.Brickman Thanks this.

Same here, 65 most of the time. 70 is rare, 75 is even rarer.

Came through Wyoming down 25 to 80 last week.
Cheyenne certainly did not have the cheaper price for fuel anymore.
Montana was cheaper.
Nothing makes sense. -
$3.66 at the Maverick yesterday.
What was it in MT???
You are right it does not make sense. WY's fuel tax is one of the lowest around and yet their prices are right up there with every one else that has a higher fuel tax.
I think some where that some one figured they can make a lot more money by putting the price around the same as surrounding areas. Its a crock thats for sure! -
They dropped the price.
It was 3.90 something there last week and in Billings it was 3.68.
I checked the j price on the web and took some off and most I saw along 25 were at the 3.85.
Then I got to North Platte and remembered something about a flood and did a 511 and found 2 was closed at the river and 29 I knew was flooded.
Had to go down into Kansas and take 36 to St. Joseph. Got there and their fuel was high so did not buy there and will wait till back in Indiana. -
$3.90???
musta been at the J
I have not bought fuel there since they were bought out.
There are so many places its much cheaper. Including china mart.
Only been in that J once since they were bought out. -
It was quite a few of them down along 25. -
I don't buy truck stop fuel unless I have to.
They are paying for their "free" showers some how or the other.
I buy in town every 3rd day so as I'm making my way around town on my routes I know whose got the best prices.
Fuel has been $3.66 at the Maverick for several weeks. I know Wal Mart is about that. Some of the other stations are $3.71.......... mean while TA is a good .20 higher than the Maverick. -
Not quite.
Tooled, if the truck has a GVWR over 10,000# and is in the furtherance of any commercial effort, you are under the regulations.
If the truck is registered to a company, rather than an individual, it would be assumed to be in commercial operation, unless somehow it was real obvious that it was being used for personal reasons (i.e. you and the family towing the RV to the lake).
Also, as was already mentioned, be sure to show your stop locations accurately. If there is any discrepancy, an officer might think you were trying to falsify your log.
