Well, practically speaking, this industry does need trainers. That means that someone has to be cooped up in a truck with a stranger. But I get what you are saying here.

With a handle like "thunderbritches", you really think you can honestly make fun of mine??
Of course I'm a driver. Seriously, you really need to stray away from the "same ole song" crowd..... You know, be a little more original, or at least attempt it, if yer capable.
I don't live off bologna sandwiches. When we have the time, you know, running them miles, we dine at all sorts of restaurants....

Actually, we just dropped about 300 bucks at Walmart but unfortunately, mustard wasn't on the list..... Sorry, I'll get it next time.
Yer right, there is. Apparently, we have differing opinions.

Although we aren't rich, nor are we makin the kind of money one with probly twenty years or so experience would make, we aren't starving either.... We're seeing the country, gettin money stashed away for when we get off this truck, and enjoying life.
Nope, drivin' team with my wife, doin the same exact thing you and your wife apparently couldnt do as a company driver of all things.....

So did ours. Since he trained my wife and I together, he got plenty of sleep. I think he only drove maybe 4 hours a day, if that. Mainly when one if us got tired. Needless to say though, he some good miles. The only time we ever had to sit was while waiting to get loaded or unloaded or if there was a mixup on our appt time.

cornholio, sounds like you got it going on! BTW, I am a pefect angel, lol. Wanna compare pay stubs? Keep in mind that I'm home everyday with weekends off, so I don't get all them miles that you are getting. I still think I got you though. Put your money where your mouth is!

Oh there's no doubt that you are not lying. It's just that the only issues you've brought forth don't prove anything except, at best, your own ignorance of CRE procedure. Or worse your own incompetence or just downright laziness.

You only brought up two issues; expenses and timely pay on loads.

    Let's looks at them.

First ... you never pay any expenses out of pocket. You submit a macro get approval for a comdata check and that is how the expense gets paid. CRE does require the receipt to reconcile and if you do not submit it with you trip pack they will short your statement ... but you are never $$ out of pocket.

But it gets better, CRE has an account set up with Blue Beacon, as well as most truck washes that are in the areas where they have major accounts. You just go in give them your truck number, trailer is washed and you do nothing else.

With the exception af Wal Mart, CRE also has accounts set up with the lumpers at most of thier major customers - you have to do nothing.

Tolls - CRE is equiped with EZ pass for their trucks, with the exception of the KS and OK toll systems, you do not need your own cash. The entire time I was there CRE always reimbursed for the OK tolls. As an L/O though KS was out of our pocket.

Now, when CRE did screw up a reimbursment it can be an absolute cluster F to get it fixed. But not due to any overt action. The worker bees at payroll are under the gun to get this weeks statements out and have no sense of urgency to fix past errors.

Well yeah, trip packs are overnighted. If you are so inclined as to physically put them in the drop box.

Or you could have scanned them. CRE gets them instantly. CRE policy stated by midnight Wednesday, but as long as they were scanned by 6AM MT Thursday, we always got paid.

Hell, sometimes we even faked a signature and scanned before we unloaded so we would get paid that week.

CREs incompetence works both ways. If you are smart enough, you can take advantage of them, before they blunder and screw you over.

There are lot of reasons that CRE is not that great. But the reasons you gave reflect more on you, than CRE ... come on you must have something better.

Yep, just like probly everyone else comin on here beggin' for sympathy, huh?
Do I want to compare statements, sure, id love to, but once I blacked out all the personal stuff, you know, the stuff that you or anyone else really doesn't need to see, (names, addresses, social security numbers, truck number, trip numbers, or any other personal information that I really don't displayed to the world), what would it prove? In the end, all id have is basically a blank stub that would then be questioned whether it was mine or not. Even then so, it would prove I did and doing things right and you don't want that, do you?

You know, its funny how all y'all bring up the recruiter comments, the dispatcher in disguise remarks and all that happy horse-puckey but i have never once turned that nonsense around and accused anyone of working in disguise of other competition. Why you ask? Cuz it ain't necessary. I have no gain what so ever to say all this in anyone's favor.

As anti-CRE as I can be, I NEVER paid for a toll, washout, truck wash, or lumper out of pocket. P aid for scales, simply because it was only $10 and didn't want to hassle with the process to get a CHECK set up for a $10 purchase... but I still always got reimbursed right away.

Anyone with a parent company, as a company driver or lease operator... who is paying for washouts is completely ignorant.... of policies and procedures.

You got free truck washes?? Man, I cant even use my maint fund to pay for a wash at a blue beacon much-less, get it free. Well, I take that back, I get free truckwashes in CRE's "automated trailer wash" bays at the 3 big terminals....

As a lease operator, yoiu shoulda been paying for CAT scales regardless unless there was somethin worked out differently for that dedicated stuff you were in but, to my knowledge, the only time England paid for an I/C's scale ticket was like, if someone in afterhours or some dm/cm or whatever wanted you to swap with someone and you found out after scaling that you couldnt take the load because it was too heavy for your truck.

    :biggrin_2559:

I know you wouldnt agree with this, but, these are the kind of people comin on here telling their "stories" about how bad of a company England is.....

But, I will say though, the OP of this thread is kind of unique. Maybe its just me but you dont hear alot of "England did this" or, "England screwed me by doin whatever" whinin from an ex-company driver.

No, I did blue beacon several times, but I paid for it end the end, but used the CRE account and didn't have to pay cash at the truck wash - that was what I was meaning. Those automated truck washes are worthless for cleaning your truck... might as well just throw some soap on it, and try to wash it off with a stream of pee pee. They clean trailers ok, and that is the primary reason they exist.. to clean off the rolling billboards.

Oh, ok..... Please excuse my confusion. I figured that with this part-------->I NEVER paid for a toll, washout, truck wash, or lumper out of pocket.<---------, you were suggesting you got everything including your truck washes for free, I mean, or atleast it appeared that way.

So, when you would use englands account at blue beacon to wash your truck, how would England back charge you? Take it from your maintenance fund or from your settlement?

LOL, that made me chuckle a lil' bit.....:biggrin_2559:

They do get a little elaborate with them decals, dont they?

Since you didn't comment on the scale tickets, I'll ask it again, how were you getting reimbursed for those?
