Is that better than trying to find a part time trucking job? I really want to get into some kind of driving job whether it be taxi, trucking, or limo. But people keep saying you gotta dedicate your whole life to it. I just don't buy it. There has to be something out there i could do 15-18 days out of the month or so. For some reason, i get the sense that people who have trucked for years get real mad when they see me asking these questions. They wonder who am I to try to look for part time work since I don't want to dedicate my whole life to it. Any useful info would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know anything about chauffeur jobs?

Holy crap, Julian.... Lupe, whatever your real name is...
There are no part time trucking jobs out there. Maybe a local gig.... MAYBE, but typically, you need at least a year experience before you can get one of those.
Why on earth are you asking questions about every other profession except trucking on a TRUCKING FORUM?????
Seriously....... find a chauffeur forum and ask there. I guarantee you'll find more accurate answers to your questions. In the meantime, go to every warehouse, trucking terminal, and distribution center around Frisco and ask them about part time gigs.the gambler and AndLovingIt Thank this. -
Driving a stretch limo is alot harder than it appears.
No pivot point makes it rather interesting !!! -
Seriously Julian, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.....
the gambler Thanks this. -
I am a truck driver. I know nothing about driving limos, taxis or sausage wagons. I belong to a forum of fellow truck drivers and others who have an interest in the trucking world.
I am sure you can find your sought after information on another site.
GOOGLE comes to mind as a starting point.
Good luck!!!the gambler and double_r Thank this. -
Roehl Trucking has a seven on / seven off in certain areas of the country. I have seen ads for causal drivers, but most will require years of experience.

Not only do you have to drive it, you also spend alot of time sitting, long hours, dealing with alot of drunks, cleaning the car, keeping it stocked. Most 120in stretches are 30 ft long, if you have no experience driving long vehicles, this isn't for you.

Part time driving 15 days a month ? Yes. Just need to find a business that operates 15 days a month. Good luck.......
