Got plenty of paper plates - I just don't try to cook with them. Enjoy those company driver pennies you keep grovelling for...

12 volt coolers will cool items to 40 degrees below outside the cooler temp. If it's 90 in your truck the cooler will be 50. I seriously doubt anyones truck is 90 degrees though so most coolers will be between 30-45 degrees.

There is a Roadpro cooker for $30 at most truck stops. You line it with tin foil or the foil pans and heat your food up. Works for most meats and pretty much all veggies and sides.

If you watch out for a while, you can get the lunch box cookers on sale. I got mine for $19 and I see them around for $24 to $49
If you have an inverter, go to WalMart for a small one quart slow cooker and the plastic liners.... they have the cookers for $9 and if you us a liner, then a couple of rubber bands and toss it in the cooler/refrig.

The crock pot is listed as 200w and the inverters were a 300w powerdrive and a 480w cobra. I only use the crock pot in terminals now, where I can plug it into a wall outlet. Maybe the smaller ones work fine on the plug in inverters, but a 4 quart won't, and I don't see the point in a smaller crock pot. I wanted one that was bigger than the lunch box oven. I like leftovers yup yup yup...

How does that Green Egg do for ya? I was reading up on one of those and didn't quite know how good they really were. The brochures seem to make it be that teh're the best thing since sliced bread, but sales brochures could make poop smell like roses!

I know the BGE (Big Green Egg) have a cult following. I know they are used for many things and believe most of what is said about them. But #### they do not come cheap. I would love one just for a makeshift pizza oven.

using propane or oil based camping cook stove in a truck. is stupid! I found something that brings a new level of cooking to the road. this is my automatic pressure cooker. it runs on a 1000 watts. and cooks enough food in an hour to last 3 days. it locks and seals the lid. and the out side of it. doesn't get hot enough to be a problem. if it tips over while cooking it shuts off. it won't cook if the lid isn't locked. the cooker is done cooking the food. it beeps and goes into warmer mode. never have to think about checking on it. I use mine to cook a wide variety of food. here a picturs of what to look for if you want one. my parents gave me mine for my birhtday. I think they sell from $85. too about $200. and well worth the money. you need a 1500 watt power inverter. to get it to operate right.
