Hi all...
I was at WallyWorld recently and saw the following items... I'd like opinions on them, please.
------------
The sleeping bag looks good enough to me... I'm warm anyway (sorry the pic may be sideways).
The sheets look like they would be great for the sleeping bag.
The large tote looks like it will be big enough, plus it has a few pockets (shoes/wet pocket would be handy).
The rolling business tote looks like it would be great for papers, pens, laptop / tablet / etc., etc.
The totes both have one solid side (the bottom of the large and the back of the business)... would that be a problem?
Thanks and have a great week

CT, I was actually able to find a sleeping bag in Walmart for $8.48. It is an Ozark Trail 40-60 degree sleeping bag and it accomodates my height (6'3") with no problem. I looks just like the one in your picture. Also, I was able to find some decent work gloves there for $1.97. Just trying to save you a few dollars if I can....
CadetTrucker Thanks this. -
Hi DtM...
Yeah, I could probably find stuff cheaper if I want to go to Wally Worlds that are 1/2 hour away or more
Unfortunately, ours is always higher than any other around here.
I may go ahead and check one of the two (30miles each way) before I actually shop, though... most likely will find cheaper
Also, if I buy 'off season' it'll probably be cheaper too
(like sleeping bag in winter
)
What kind of gloves did you get?
Thanks... have a great week

Hey CT,
I got the MidWest Work Grade cowhide leather gloves. They were hidden in the section near all the tools. The more expensive gloves were in the men's section but I think these will be fine.CadetTrucker Thanks this. -
Prime? Pack like your deploying...

Sorry, was never in a 'deploy-able' field

OK, you won't get 30 days leave like you did being a barracks rat...
CadetTrucker Thanks this. -
there is a wally world close to the hotel. after 30 hrs on the bus and many bus changes I can say this PACK light as you can. The shuttle will even drop you and pick you up at wally world. Why carry more than you need!

How many days worth of clothing did you take with you? I have a big softsided bag but I refuse to put my bag in the baggage area of the bus because I don't want it to get lost. I want to pack enough but still be the right size to take on the bus with me.

I think you're being a little paranoid over this. You check your bag, and if you have to change busses, YOU get the bag and put it in the baggage holding area for the bus you're going to transfer to. Take a small bag on the bus for anything you feel is valuable that you're bringing, but don't sweat it on the laundry.
