    Can anyone tell me approximately how many miles you could expect to get out of a complete,($17500) C15 inframe done by Cat? Assuming proper break-in and serviced every 12,000 miles.:biggrin_2556:Thanks..
    P.S. New radiator as well.

    About 500k on mine and still going. Service every 25k or so. Overhead done every two years.

    Still, sometimes I think I might have been better off with a reman. I've had some little issues like the jake solenoids and fan assembly going bad that may not have happened with a reman.

    I have 875k on mine so far, hasnt beened opened up yet, starting to burn oil, gallon every7-8k, every 4-5k if I use my jakes. Shooting for 999,999 then rebuild it.

    I am looking at a 2003 379 with a C15 with 890K from an auction for 33,000. When an inframe is done do they put any tags or stamps on the motor showing the date it was done? I have not Physically looked at this truck yet and i doubt its been gone through but it certainly is a very nice truck. Thanx.

    Get the engine number and call a Cat dealer they can look it up. If any major work was done by a Cat certified shop they can tell you.

    I have a C15 435 6 NZ series motor that speedo shows about 775000 and we are fixing to d the lower end this week . Been doing oil samples and the last 2 have showed higher than normal bearing wear. really hate it was hoping to make it last till a million before we opened it up . but right now not planning on a complete overhaul not using but about 4 qts on a 12,000 to 14000 oil change . Have a great week .

    My truck got stamps put on it when I got then inframe done my truck had 1,467,000km on it now has 1,987,098km on her it's a 2002
