Expunged the records only through 2008.
Ignore the previous 3 years because they cannot easily get the information.
The final result.
Expunge some tickets, but nothing in it about returning the fines.
Win Win for the State of Minnesota.Rollover the Original Thanks this. -
Im not hip to the legal lingo. When they expunge, I know it is erased from the driver's record, but what about fines they had to pay? Do they get those back as well? I know some of these drivers were out a lot of money because of those scum sucking pigs.
-
Not only should they be returning the fines to these drivers but also lost wages due to BS OOS issued because of their stupid check list.
And while I'm on the subject, how many drivers lost a job because of this stupid BS? They need compensated.
Roadmedic, walstib and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
>>>>violated drivers' Fourth Amendment search and seizure protections.
Time to call a lawyer and hit em where it hurts!!!

Just went by the St Croix scale on I94 coming in to Minnesota about 4 hours ago. The DOT had the back row full of Trucks. I counted at least 12 "Revenue Inhancement Officers." The whole state is full of Liberial Wackos!

They have been closed for several weeks.
Their budget meeting has determined they will have to write a large number of saftey violations to help balance the shortfall. -
Yep, I'm sure there are plenty that lost their job and future employment over this. OOIDA should of took it a step forward instead of just an expungment. If I was one of the victims I would be seeking compensatory and punitive damages. But we all know you can't get money from the gov't.
The numbers are estonishing. If that's any indication, we're talking some 26,000 fatigue driving violations across the country in that time frame. But that's just with a Level 3. Expand that to all violations.....dang I can't count that high.
-
I think they could under a properly executed document. But with OOIDA you don't get much.
They were not interested in compensatory damages as much as getting it stopped.
But, they will enact rules and laws in Minnesota and then properly document it and be back in business with no real loss.
