Wouldn't you rather make enough money in a week or two weeks out scenario.....AND have home time.......AND be able to travel like you do WITHOUT giving all your time to your company?
Well my friend....it will NEVER happen, as long as there are people like you kneeling to "the man", and putting up wit THEIR system; which includes, low miles, low pay, and no home time. Congratulations that your 10 days in China will be all the home time you see, and you won't even be home.

What makes you think I don't make enough money in a week or 2 week out scenario?I have never said I don't make enough, that's an erroneous assumption on your part. I choose to run the way I do because it suits me. It doesn't suit you? Fine, don't do it, I don't give a rat's arse either way.

Here are the facts: My miles are good, the pay is okay (but could be better, I will admit) and my time off is what I make of it. I'm one of those people who try to make themselves at home wherever they are, whether that might be having a beer at an outdoor cafe in Brussels, sitting on the beach in Bali or playing poker with some friends in Colorado Springs. You go ahead and do whatever you like on your home time, it has no affect on me.

As for working for "the man". Well, to quote a famous movie, "This is the business we have chosen". If I didn't like it, I would do something else.

 

Stevens has to be the best company out there I heard that most drivers make well over 85,000+ year. One guy said he worked 8 months straight and made 92,000 and took 4 months off. wow sounds like they really pay well they really know how to take care of there drivers.

 

I spent 12 weeks out on the road, then went to Peru and enjoyed 11days there. Your home time probally consists of just relaxing and sleeping. Whereas mine is working my ### off so I can really enjoy myself, enjoy the culture, the cuisine and still have a job when i get back.
