I agree with others - the road contact area is ok and the air is staying on the inside. Keep the speed down and reschedule the delivery if I had to. Maybe even slide the trailer tandems forward if the load permits.

That's what I'd say if my son sent me that picture on my truck. If he twisted my arm a little, I might tell him to have the t/s mount one of the spares for <$50. Maybe.

PS: One of my spares is a $200, lightly used, used recap souvenir from a total $320 road service on a drive tire blowout. In that case the air wouldn't stay inside and I had no spares yet, so I had to call the Man With The Tire Truck and pay him his price for whatever he had.

PPS: $30 more than that roadside call is the out the door price of a new, brand-name, matching replacement from the local tire guy. t/s price is a little higher depending on whether they'll haggle or not, or even have the tire I want in stock.

 

Just for the reckord, what safety? What I mean is, is that tyre dangerous?

 

OK, for the record, last night drove 100 miles on flat drive that started to come apart. Made you tire look primo. Saved about $200 on road service call not to mention got a soon to be nice spare compared to the limited choice available from road service.

 

Well, now you can do whatever you want. I take it that you got into a lease purchase?

What about a maintenance account? Most of these require a certain amount of your settlements to go into a maintenance account.
