Funny thing about the trucker stories, especially when there's a group of folks in the "drivers only" section at the Petro.... the first liar hasn't got a chance...think about that for a second.

That's also another reason I NEVER sit in thet section.

I like them troll threads. I'm on so much blood pressure medicine, that seems to be the only thing to get it back up where it should be. :)

About the BSer's, they come in all shape and sizes from 21 to 75. The last encounter I remember is a 60 some year old driver that use to be a general in the British Royal Army.

    It's called "one-ups-manship".

Whatever you have done, they are always one better.

They always start off with, "that ain't nothin', one time we were (add BS story here)."

Reminds me of all of my female relatives whenever they get together. But I suppose it's better for them to sit around telling gossip cuz it's cheaper than when they decide to go do their favorite thing in the world: shopping and running up the credit cards! :yes2557:

It's like a competition among them to see who can spend the most money on overpriced name-brand clothing at the mall. :biggrin_2551:

There are two kinds of people.... people who LISTEN when you're talking, and people who are RELOADING... not listening, just waitig until you finish so they can amaze you with another story, or at least one better than whatever you told them.

Actually, i started the threasd because of the 23 yo done everything and mastered all, but i know the threads your talking about, and think he's nothing more than a troll himself, had a guy tell me not to long ago he was a navy seal, for 6 years and a green berra for 9 years, and he could take an ordinary plastic staw and drive it threw your scull and stab your brain and kill you instancely, was still laughing when i walk away

That's the best response.... here's an alert, for you non-military folks... if someone is a former Seal or Ranger, they DON'T discuss with anyone except other Seals and Rangers... you'll never hear them bragging in the middle of the Petro restaurant.

Same with martial artists.... I've found, in my experience over a bunch of years, and the instructors that have taught me... you never discuss martial arts in public, because there's always some idiot who wants to take you on, thinks he can take you, or wants to see some moves... and then they'll say (because I fell for the "show me some moves" bit).... well, hell, that's nothing - one time I saw Jackie Chan do a double flip and kill a guy with a table cloth!

Yeah, I never learned a double flip, or the lethal table cloth kata.

I had a different prof. job before trucking. Had many sayings that rang true. Be humble and have sharp edges.
