So after six months of sad paychecks and little home time I'm leaving the big blue screw. I'm headed to Marshfield tomorrow for their advanced training course. I'm not sure exactly what to expect but I doubt it's anything I can't handle.

I signed up for the 14/7 reefer division, I'm really looking forward to the home time but I'm a little concerned about the slip seating arrangement. I'm sure a lot of it depends on how well each drivers clean up after themselves. Do you get to meet the other drivers that you share a truck with?

Anyway, I've heard a lot of good things about Roehl in general and I can't wait to hit the road. Maybe I'll see some of yall along the way

Is that the big blue screw in Mondovi, WI or the one in Omaha, NE? :biggrin_25523:

Welcome Mike and the slip seating works out well, for me at least. I'm 14/7 also and my truck is always clean when I pick it up. My FM always asks me to if it was left clean for me and reminds me to do the same for the other driver. I've never met the other guys but that is mainly because they've switched like three times in the last two months...LOL!

Most guys are pretty decent about making sure the truck is cleaned well before they get out. I know some of the guys that share trucks that share coolers, cbs, tvs and that kind of stuff... With turnover you will be changing truck mates a couple of times a year...

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm looking forward to gettin started tomorrow. I'll be sure to clean up before my hometimes. Seems like basic ettoquite. But yea Werner is true blue screw. I get mad just thinkin about how bad they were. Hopefully I made a better decision with roehl.

Anyone from ga? Any thoughts on the dispachers there? The one I had at Werner seemed ok enough but I never met him. Is that the way it is here?

I live just outside of Macon but when working as company driver I was dispatched out of Ellenwood. Decent enough ppl, only a couple "bad" dispatchers out of there but I'm not gonna name drop. otherwise decent ppl all around there. best of luck to you!
