Worked as a Computer Tech for a Nationwide trucking firm(1978). Use to go to terminals and there'd a few line drivers out having a smoke. They'd give us a snear look being a office boy and all. So I said one day to him good morning driver run it cool. Should of seen the look on his face. You never know who your talking to.

Run it cool? Before my time, I guess, is that a 70s thing? No offense, just never heard of it.

I was driving down the road thinking about my career when I came upon a road sign that made it all clear.

    "Dead End"

    True story!

Oh, yeah.. let's not forget the guy who told me he was in a Navy SEAL unit which actually tracked Saddam Hussein for two weeks during Desert Storm. But they just couldn't get the authorization to take him out. Don't you just hate bureaucracy?

I just slipped the mechanic a $20 and he tuned my Qualcomm antenna to get cable TV stations. I'm really looking forward to using it. He said I had to let the signal build up for a few days before I used it the first time.

It is and always will be a part of human nature. So many folks are just not happy with themselves. Low esteem. They have a need to bolster themselves in the eyes of their peers. The media does not help either.

Just be yourself and all is cool. Whether you work at McDonalds or drive OTR or engineer bridges....it's all good cause it's what you do!!

All of our stories get changed and exaggerated to a degree over time....human nature.

The only time I will call a BS'er is if his/her BS has the potential to do immediate harm to someone.....then I will act to stop that harm. Other than that, I just listen and smile!!! Perhaps some good material for a future novel!! :)
