I've been interested for a long time in trucking up North, Thanks for the link. You guys are another side of the same coin and your banks are on solid footing. Our banks have collapsed and were Nationalized. (We recently discovered that not only did our Government bail the banks out and take them over, but the Federal Reserve also loaned them trillions of dollars behind everyone's back.) Your Public Schools are good, your Policemen don't look like your Military (yet), the women are plump and friendly and the beer is really good.

I love to see the culture and people from all over the world in the Toronto area, I even kinda like some of the angry French Canadians I meet there.

I'm blonde and blue eyed, give me a tuque and a couple of beers, I'll fit right in. And if you guys aren't aware of this yet, your money is holding it's value better than ours.

You guys keep sending us hard workers and friendly people. I find Canadians everywhere. It's time to reciprocate.

Oh, low wages? I would rather take your low driver pay than our coming hyperinflation.

    Seriously.

Well this is exactly where the problem lies.

We have fought so wages dont go any lower and the vampires keep telling us that "there's always another who is ready to do it for less money"

Sorry but not because it's worse somewhere in the world that we have to bend down and take it huh?

    Keep feeding the vampires!

I'm a big boy, been doing this for awhile now- If I don't like the wages, I'll keep driving down south. For folks that are keeping an eye on the American economy and the coming problems, I've got a plan B and a plan C. If you think a crashing economy and hyperinflation are no threat here in the states, ride it out.

I'll be somewhere else, watching the calamity on my laptop. For anyone else that wants this info, I can give you some websites to get you started.

There are countries in the world with low taxes, fair wages and low unemployment. With solid banks and communities of American ExPats. A lot of them can give you a second citizenship.

Since WW2, the rest of the world has been catching up to us. Singapore is no longer a third world country with farms and rickshaws, it's one of the world's largest international seaports, with awesome modern amenities. Panama has work for the canal project, Chile is a nice country. There are opportunities in lots of countries around the world.

And my Canadian friends, the jobs game goes both directions. While we go north to drive, some of you guys are taking our slots down south. So, I say "Even Steven." I've got the same complaints about the artificial driver shortage and low wages that you do and I don't expect to make more or less money up north.

I intend to beat the flood of American citizens jumping ship, and you guys are next door.

When the Feces hits the Oscillating Rotor, I'm not going to be trapped here.:Journey:

That's OK, but it doesn't mean that has to be me. :biggrin_25524::biggrin_25524:

I already have dual citizenship; I'm almost ready to leave.

    Smart move!

I saw on the internet today where the bank runs have started in western Europe because our Congress didn't really change anything. Gold's spiking again, silver's headed up. Bend over, grab your ankles- it's going to be a dangerous ride. :biggrin_25524:

Please note that I'm not accusing anybody here.

Just want to point out what is going on when vampires use imigration to fill the seats left by disgussed drivers.

I dont blame the guy or gal who just leaves everything home to embark on a new adventure.

It takes a lot of courage to do such an act.

BUT I dont like that our bloodsuckin vampires take advantage of these people and in the same time screw us who have been fighting so our wages dont go down.

In my first full year of driving I made almost $57k, and that was with a month off. In my second year I made $60k, and my third about $63k. Each time, taking a month or more off during the year. Almost any smaller outfit pays well. And there are plenty of smaller places to go and work for. Even the small outfit I drive for always brought over new drivers from Paraguay, year after year.

@Dave-off to Singapore? Continuously hot there. Very hot. No dirty trucks allowed on the streets. Hose them down before leaving work sites. Learn to drive like a Brit. It seems like an artificial city state to me - usually life is all about love or money. Over there, it's only all about money. Make sure you can find a place to live before making the commitment. Food is cheap though, but very good.
