Thanks. Hopefully I'll be out of here tomorrow afternoon. Dispatch told me to stay with the load so my trailer is sitting at Volvo. At least I'll have a load.

mrbrutie,
Welcome, I just went through orientation yesterday with Brian and start this coming Monday. They already handed me the keys to my truck and let me check it out. I'm not allowed to take it home cause I live so close to the terminal so they're giving me some time on Monday morning to get my stuff in it. Every one has been fantastic so far, very helpful and answered all of my questions and orientation was very helpful and laid back. Old Sarge was there though I didn't know it was him til he left. Hope to meet all the great drivers at Calex. Seems like it will be a great fit for me. Good Luck! -
Hey John boy I have a solution to the fridge problem, mine went out and and they took it out and I took the measurement and found a GE fridge with a separate freezer compartment and it works great.

Well, not exactly how I had it planned for this week. I'm home. After calling into Pittston and the shop where my truck is we found out that when the EGR cooler went bad it pumped antifreeze into the injectors so they have to be changed also. Volvo said they will need the truck until late Monday or early Tuesday. I got a call from Ray who's the head of the shop in Pittston explaining what they found. We agreed it would be cheaper all the way around if I went home. I rented a car and the 670 mile drive home took me 9.5 hours and I got here last night at 10pm. I was told to hand the receipts in for the motel, car and gas. I was told to call Monday morning to make sure it would be done then head up there.

Hey Johnboy & Combatdoc,
Thanks for all the help answering my questions about Calex. After my first week or so it seems to be a good company. I am in the flatbed division which are mostly dedicated accounts. I am home now, will leave again on sunday night. My run is from Hartwell, Ga to Paragould, AR, deadhead to Lebanon, TN, pickup and deliver to Hartwell, GA. Then do it all over again. All of the people that i have met at Calex are great. It was nice to meet you and chat with you Johnboy. And thanks Combatdoc for answering my questions on the phone. So far it seems to be a good run for me. Sorry to hear about your truck troubles Johnboy, I hope they get you a new truck soon. The Challenger Thanks this. -

Hey There Johnboy,
Sorry about the truck problems, It was good to run into you this week, wish we could have talked longer, but I have a small raido. I did another turn to Carliona and made it home last night. Finally got a good wash at the beacon in Ft Pierce, and no tropical storm. All is good. Have a good weekend,
Take care,
LarryJohnBoy Thanks this.
