I took Welbutrin off and on for awhile and mentioned it to Gracie, she was unsure of it so I stopped taking it altogether a month ago or more. It's funny, it had no effect on me whatsoever other than to take the edge off, dealing with a divorce, kids involved...and my last job of 31 years..the last 16 months were insanity. I went back on for a short stint but dropped off immediately when there was any question. I wasnt taking it regularly anyway but have not touched it since late June or very early July. And it wasnt anything I had to have so I am glad I stopped after reading this thread. I am starting classes on the 9th

21 hows it going? I passed my pretrip and got on truck with instructor 30 minutes later. read my post for followup. great to meet you thanks for the friendship. Joe got 100 on his eval and was testing today but also had a trainer lined up with a hot load.

SO doesnt anyone know if Prozac is allowed? I take that for depression. Im also on Topamax to prevent migraines and then i have prescribed migraine pain killers like Treximet. Anyone know about these? I plan on asking my doctor when i see them next week but I was curious if anyone knew here. thanks

Probably best to just call and ask a recruiter about them and see what they have to say. 1-800-224-4585

I think it depends on what company you go with. I have read some posts on this site where people have been automatically given the boot because you can't be driving on pain killers.

I think I remember reading some companies will disqualify you as well if you are on anti-depressants because I guess some of them can make you sleepy.

But other companies may work with you on it. I would research this site real well because there are a lot of people on here with different things going on and they are driving. I think it just boils down to the company you will drive for.

Hmmm.... up at the top of the page there is a path that shows this is a Prime folder. So... be a little more observant.

    :yes2557:

I totally agree with BGriffeth... you should call recruiting and pose the question to them... we'd just be guessing in any case.

Also, if there is a problem with one of your meds, you can work with your doctor to find something that is suitable. IIRC, most of what Prime does in terms of prescriptions is in accordance with FMCSA guidelines, so I believe you'd find the same situation at other carriers as well.

yeah im just scared to ask my recruiter cuz i dont want them to disqualify me right there on the spot. prozac does not make me sleepy. topamax does but i take it when i go to bed, ive been taking it long enough that i know how much i can handle and ive been working with the doc so that i can lower the dosage myself (like breaking the pill in half) on days i know i wont be able to get as much sleep. as far as the pain killers go i know they dont contain any narcotics but still like u said im worried they wont like me having any pain killers in any form...ugh i hate this lol...but yeah ill ask my doc first i guess then if im still worried i think ill ask the recruiter

I saw it. What is your point? Other than trying to be a smart ###? I don't know what Primes policy is on that kind of stuff but I have read that some companies frown on it. Prime may or may not.

Its a Prime thread... it doesn't help to post maybe this or maybe that as it applies to other companies.
