    Hello all, i'm not a trucker but i'm leaving headed to CRST Cedar Rapids IA. and wow everything i've read here is bad. I'm hoping to get some good training and make some decent money for my family. I hope it's alot better than what i've read here cause WHOA !:biggrin_2555:

    There is a reason for the bad reports. CRST, may not be CRE, but they are #### close.

    I'm going to try to make the best of it, but I do know when to throw in the towel and go home. I just can't believe that it could be that bad...

    Whatever you do.
    DON'T BREAK THE CONTRACT, let me repeat that.
    DON'T BREAK THE CONTRACT....it will hurt you more than just having to be bound to them for the 8mo to 1yr. They WILL come after you for repayment of the terms, as well as (according to the other threads here) ding your DAC, thus making it harder to find work elsewhere.

    It's OK to be nervous. Don't get too wrapped up in all the negativity. You can read threads about most any company here and they'll be negative. It's human nature to post that kind of thing.
    The best advice I can give you is the same I give to all students and newbies alike:
    Surround yourself with positive like-minded people. Learn and practice as much as you can. That's why you're there and it will all pay off. Make the most of every situation. That's very important.
    Forget about the naysayers. You did your research and decided on this company...good for you!
