I miss the way I think Roehl should have (used to be) been. I think I'm bringing that kind of structure to my new home. It's going to be be a struggle to try to shape our hole in the ground into a small house. But it gives me something to do.

Good luck, I've seen the pics on FB.

Back on topic here. I asked about training and was told that they are going to phase training where you are with one trainer for 12-15 days so regional drivers probably won't be able to train since we go home weekly.

I hope they let the 7/7 guys do it. The best results I and other trainers and dispatchers saw was when they let the 7/7 guys take a student for 21 days. It was a long time to be out but it was effective. When they started letting guys go home in the middle they ended up with four trainers instead of two. There was too much being lost in translation and passing the buck with four trainers. When Roehl started doing the 7/7 trainer thing they found out it was better than one trainer. Now it sounds like things have come circle and they are back to one road trainer anyways.

Personally I think you need to look at all aspects for training. If a guy is looking to be a regional driver pair him with a regional trainer. Make sure dudes get trained in their own division. Training a flatbedder with a van driver doesn't accomplish anything. sure they can drive the truck, but they can't secure the freight.
