Staying there is for sure the consensus, I will listen to this advice and stay there, have heard the food is pretty good. I will for sure listen to Iron Pony he is a wealth of knowledge.
I am trying to get some information from my recruiter about some medicine I have been taking for years and he keeps telling me he cannot give medical advice and to look at the medical qualifications on the Prime website, there is no information about specific medicines. I just want to find out if the meds I take are for sure going to disqualify me. I found an article on the FMSCA website that lists my medicines and the short of it is the ones I take are second generation meds and once your doctor explains to them why your taking them and how long you have taken them with no adverse affects they are ok. Anyone know of anyone else I can talk to up there at Prime perhaps the HR department?
Thanks everyone for all your advice I really appreciate it. -
Hey! Just don't start followin' ME down the road. I'm probably just as lost as YOU are!!
-
I don't think anyone could be as lost as me after dealing with the recruiter all day. Now there is someone who sure appears to be lost.
-
LOL Just make a U turn at the next legal opportunity lol Keep us updated on how it all goes SD!
-
I finally got my letter from my doctor saying the meds I take won't bother me for driving. My recruiter won't tell me if that will be ok with their doctor giving the physical.
Anyone else have anything like this happen? I hate to get sent home for something I was upfront about. The FMSCA website says they are ok if you have the history of why you take it from your doctor -
Yeah but the truck insurance company may have a problem.Sevendogs Thanks this.
-
Is that something the recruiter should know?
-
Its something they would flag if it were an obvious problem. Make sure you have the letter from your doctor - a copy of your file from his office in your posession during orientation may be a good idea too, as well as phone and fax numbers from his office. You might want to quiz your recruiter on whether this has been cleared with our medical staff before you go too.
-
I have asked the recruiter if this type of medication has been cleared before by the Prime medical staff and all he will say is that he is not allowed to give medical advice. Is it wrong to call and talk to another recruiter?
Thanks for all your help IP.
