I just went thru orientation in Indianapolis, I am out with my trainer now.
Good luck. -
How long do you have to be out with a trainer? I'm going on 9mo. local experience would I need to be with the trainer the full time?
-
Can't answer that. I am a new driver and only spent 10 days with a trainer. It depends. If they send your thru the experienced drivers orientation I think you just take a road test and then get your own truck. If you go thru the new driver orientation then you have to go with a trainer for 7-10 days. Just talk to your recruiter.MilwaukeeTrucker Thanks this.

You seem to be an active member here, I have followed quite a few of your posts and appreciate all the info and insight. How's it going with the trainer? 10 days must be about up huh? you will have have to let us know when you get your truck and definitely post a pic of it. -
I am done with may trainer, I then went to the OC for my SQT(skills qualification test) and passed. I am now at home waiting to get assigned my truck.
I have spoke to my DBL 3 times, and they are still having a hard time finding me a truck, so I will probably be sitting for the weekend. However, they are going to pay me layover pay for each day until I get my truck since they aren't paying my training pay anymore, so I will sit home and enjoy the weekend.
