I've seen trucking be at $90+/ton for hay that was selling for $35/ton for 600+ mile haul. These were round bales though and old enough to want to fall apart everytime you looked at them. They must really need the hay down there. Maybe better to haul the cattle north where there is an abundance of grazing and hay and a shortage of cattle.

i haul quite a bit out of montana and north dakota either i find it or i know someone that needs it moved, but i dont haul it cheap, just hauled a load from montana to kansas 949 miles, for 1800.00 plenty more to haul

Im up in North dakota and could part with a few hundred ton of alfalfa grass hay or high quality alfalfa hay. I just need to find some trucking.

Contact Westervelt trucking in belgrade, they do alot of different things. If I had a trailer to do it I would haul it for the cost of fuel. If you are nice enough to donate or sell cheap, somebody out there ought to haul it for at least the cost of fuel. as all of us montana truckers know there is no freight up here any way. and especially anything that pays.. is it round Bailes or Square??

They are large square bales. We really need 53' step flatbeds and if someone wants to haul some I have a very desperate rancher in Chillichothe, TX and need to get two loads to him. Anyone interested? Thanks!

We're looking to pay around $1.80/mile so this is not charity....it's just hard to find people looking for loads with the longer step flatbeds. It's 1275 miles and will pay $2400 for the trip.

I've. Been hauling out of South Dakota for $2.25 per mi for all miles back to Oklahoma. I do feel for the farmers but the way the government hands out money to them for this and that, I'll think I will just let Washington subsidize them. I don't get any help from them so I must make a fair rate or I don't make it. And just so you don't think I'm a total as for my way of thinking- Saturday I will be hauling hay free not even for fuel for a good friend of mine. I.have hauled for his family before and will.do it again as needed but I can't save the world and myself too.
virgil tatro Thanks this. -
