I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any companies that ship only within Canada and are based in southern-central Ontario. I have driven commercially for 9 years. Eight years with a DZ and now 3 months with an ACZ. I haul dry bulk tankers and also drive a tri-axle dump truck. Looking to go OTR but would like to stay in Canada. I also love driving up north and in wilderness areas. Something in my blood.

I have no problems with border crossing. Just a preference.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Nesel Transportation, Maritime Ontario, the Tim Hortons private fleet (but they require 2 years tractor trailer experience (maybe more)).

I work for a medium sized fleet that has alot of Canada only runs also, but I don't get to have them.

Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention: the fleet I work for also has alot of runs that involve straight truck also. If you want the name, PM me, or ask.

Look for any companies that are pulling Super-Bs, since those remain mostly in Canada.

Seems I see quite a few in Michigan, but until you get down south of Bay City there's not much difference between you guys and us.:biggrin_2559:

I did say, mostly. If he goes western Canada, then he'll probably never go in to MI.

Oh yeah, I caught that. Here we have trailers you can't take to other states, but we can Ontario. I'm not sure super "B"s are legal everywhere here. He could drive in northern Michigan, and likely never notice any difference, just joking around.:biggrin_25525:

I hear ya. They can be taken into WA, ND, and I think a few other states. Every state is different on weight allowances, though. So, for the most part, he'd be safe within the Canadian border. :biggrin_25523:

If it's of any relevance, I see the occasional quad-9, or 5-9, with Indiana, Ohio or Pennsylvania plates.

Super-B's, I have seen the occasional one in Ohio (with Michigan plates), but that's about it.
