ROEHL BOUND... June 14th... Relief and excitement!

Oh my excitement continues. Get a little time home with the family for my birthday. Leave out this morning cuz load assignment says to deliver Monday 0700. So I get over to Indiana and my fuel stop is at the t/a and I get a flat. So roll to gary and call dispatch. Tell them I need to get off my load and relay. They tell me that its an appointment for Tuesday morning. #### really? Put the truck in the computer about 2 hrs ago and its in a bay now. Yes really I'm not kidding I am at gary. Lol

 

Well got the truck back aabout 2100. Went to bed and slept in since my delivery was changed. Then they ended up having me drop my load and head to railyard to get an mt trlr there. Then its off to romeoville for home depot. The pick up time was for midnight. I was about 12hrs early. So of course loads not ready. I dropped the mt cuz I was hitting a t/s to take a ten. Then they cancels that load and give me a GP load heading to Minnesota. But first I have to run back to romeoville grab my mt. Lol romeoville was packed as it was earlier too. Two hrs later I got my mt. Then roll to shipper and grab my load. That was fairly smooth. Missed a turn an of course since rush is fun Anthe chicago area I had quite a detour. Spent the night at south Beloit had 3 hrs I could've drove, but needed to stop. Wish they'd just left my original load on me. I would have the same miles or possibly more at this point plus a fresh 70. Also would've been nice to know they changed that loads app time. Could've spent my actual birthday with my family. Oh well that is the way of the road. Still plugging and not really too bothered.
now its gonna be a wet one to Minnesota. Watching the lightning right now.

 

PPa. I made a hit and run through the house. Just could've been a little longer. On my way to Alabama now. Sitting in Wayland Mo. For the night at the flying j. Relaxing time!

 

Sitting in atlanta currently. Been thru albama and back up. Relayed a load here then picking up a relay in the morning. Running to Pa. For a Monday 0200 delivery. Staying west enough to avoid the hurricane fun!

 

Lol. So how's irene? Sorry. At least you wont have to deal with hurricanes in two weeks.

 

After delivering to Alabama they gave me a relay to ellenwood. Got there just on time after rolling thru the back roads of bama. Then was given a relay to pa. Well a 700 mile load delivering at 0200 tonight. Could've been there early this morning. Almost yesterday. But can't deliver on Sunday. So once again I'm sitting wasting time. Now once I deliver I will choose either to do another ten depending on my sleep. I've decided since they never have Monday loads early for me I might as week sleep. Lol. We shall see where to next.
