This is insulation so it is strapped. I did put an extra strap on the outside on the front to help with that. It is not that bad and again not worried about damage just figuring out how to fix it for next time.

Alot of the guys who use just rope have hooks mounted on the trailer behind the rub rail.
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
I do that with one of the farm day cabs. But my goal with this beast is to get the weight off the drives and on the spreads. Right now I don't want anything over 47k if it is spread out for fear of being over on my drives.
But just thinking about it since posting this thread I will likely add a third tool box and remove the bulk head. Wife won't like it since she read about why they are on trailers but I'll just up my life insurance and she'll quite down.

Boy Im glad I don't tarp. I thinked I've tarp once in the last 3 years and the last load I did tarped paid me $950.00 for 220 miles.
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
I can picture the hooks but need to see it in action to fully understand how they get it to work for them. Must not be googling the right words on this.

Bulk heads are good if you haul palletize loads regularly. I dont, I haul oversize, long loads and the bulk would of been in the way. Not to mention you have to climb around that thing trying to get on the trailer.
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
this is paying over $3/mile is why I took it. Worst part was re-rolled all my tarps the day before so back was feeling it.
-
Well still new to this so what I "normally" haul is based on pay at this point.
Using it to hold chains and binders right now but agree it is a pain. Even after I remove it I am going to add extra cat walk on my frame before winter. I can just see sliping off frame when it is snowing or raining. Because you know I will be too lazy to pull the ladder out when I should. -
what kind of Flat are you pulling now?

The kind thats..............well.................flat........

dirtyrabbit and BigBadBill Thank this.
