Oh thank god lol. The plug in inverter is the one I was talking about. Thanks for the info. I will be calling Central in the next 2 weeks.

Sorry to disagree - but the trainer that I had is now directly under a planner, and he is this planner's 5th truck. I also have a feeling his isn't the only planner to have a small fleet. I have a feeling that it is for a 'select' few - that have been there for a few years and don't need the intersetion of a 'manager'. The planners don't have time to 'problem solve' for a driver, especially a newer one that might have quesitons.

I must admit the last week has been a good one... however not sure if it will hold... so the thought of dedicated is still going through our heads :/

Anyone know if Central will take me back?
I drove for a year, June 2010 to June 2011, went through their training program and everything.. spent 10 months as a solo driver.
In my first 5 months I ended up having 3 minor backing accidents (seriously minor.. one I just bent another trailer's hazmat placard and they put in a claim for $50!! It probably cost more than $50 to process the insurance claim
). My last 5 months I had finally gotten the hang of backing and being cautious, and I was completely clean.
Now that I've left, I pulled my DAC and it shows 3 preventable accidents. I did them, I don't dispute that, but at first glance it looks awful. Under "Eligible for Re-hire?" it says "Upon review"
I'm thinking I won't be able to get on with another (decent) company with a record like mine.
1. Would Central take me back?
2. Would I have to stay there accident free for like 3 years til those accidents drop off my DAC?
Thanks, JB -

Why did you leave? Are you sure you want to go back? Is it because you cannot get hired by anyone else? 10 mos. Why not stay for the 12? Have you asked Central if they will take you back? .....So many questions...Oy Vey

I left because I was charged for idle %. It's unfair and unaccountable since we can't see the stats/calculations for what they charge us. Anyway, it was only once they hit me with a ~$50 charge for the month.. which $50 vs ~$2300 in monthly earnings is a drop in the bucket really. So I probably overreacted by leaving, it's a fair company overall.
I figured I could get on with another company easily but didn't realize about my DAC or even really consider 10 months vs 12 months.
I guess I will give a recruiter a call and ask. I just figured someone may have been in a similar situation. I know that sometimes they send experienced drivers who haven't driven for awhile through school again at a reduced rate of $1000 since they already have a CDL.. hoping I don't have to pay a grand though -
Many company's do not use DAC, so for them it will not matter.
On the accidents falling off......nothing falls off DAC. Just company's will not pay as much attention to them at that point.
I would put comments on DAC about your accidents. Explain that they are minor backing accidents. It is your right to do this.
You need to get back in a truck soon. The more time you are off the road, the harder it will be to get working again.
If you had a good record of on time delivery and communication you should be ok for rehire. -
Well I boarded the Greyhound in Gainesville and am now headed to COnley for Orientation and training.
