    To me it seems as if though there are no more content truckers nowadays,but I could be wrong...why does it feel like the days of the truck driver are over? It feels like the industry is doomed as we know it...If yo:biggrin_25513:u cant keep a driver driving then whos gonna pull the freight? Maybe thats why our economy is in shambles..maybe the US gov. Need to re-evaluate on the Fidel Castro like companies that operate in the US that keep the poor poor and themselves richer...

    But why WOULD anything change;when people are lining up for the "sweatshop" jobs? The trucking companies,like the government,are not concerned about the "few" who stand up for themselves,so long as the majority of people will do as told,and take what is given to them..

    Things are changing,but,not for the better.I too,am very interested to see how this thing called trucking is going to turn out...

    I'm content,good company that doesn't bother me as long as I pick up and deliver on time and I get home every 7-10 days and still make good money.

    Well, no one grabs people and forces them to work for carriers that take advantage of them. Regarding trucking, I cannot recall in the last 30 years when the same complaints were not being made about trucking. I would be willing to bet the same complaints were made by horse drawn wagon drivers back in the day.
