Here is one to enforce the braking distance rule. I was traveling east bound I-70 comming into the Dillon exit, had a pickup truck in front of me. The overhead signs had warned that US 6 was closed due to a accident and bicycle race going on. As we got closer to the exit, I noticed a white suv come around me, I was doing 50-55 mph and slowing as I had seen emergency lights ahead. As soon as the suv got ahead of the pickup it cut in front of them and came to a complete stop, as the exit was blocked off. The pickup slamed on the brakes, as did I, I am loaded at 77728 lbs. got stopped, but it took almost every bit of the distance that was between me and the pickup. this was not luck but good driving practice. Lets all remember to always check ourselves on defensive driving, never know when it my save you.
The Challenger, trailertrashtrucker, Jarhed1964 and 4 others Thank this. -

Grabbed a nice load after hometime, Greeley>Norwood Mass. Ran into Irene in NY on I-90. Almost pulled over to wait it out but decided to go a few more miles. Glad I did, things got better in MA. Sure was nice having no traffic driving in. Nobody home at the place I am dropping at. Hope they get here sometime tonight.

On Friday morning I saw a JBS Truck pullin a GFS wagon traveling north on I-294 in the windy. That's the first time I've seen this. Anyone know what the deal is?

The JBS pulling the Gordon Food Service is a weekly run pulling there loaded trl out of Grand Rapids to Kenosha,WI, and drop and hooking another loaded GFS trl back to Grand Rapids. I'm still trying to decide if I'm staying on the Green Bay Regional fleet or going back to OTR. I think I'm going to wait to see if things improve with the new president. I think Moe didnt give a crap about the Green Bay Operations. I wish this company would stop hiring other trucking company's Rejects for their mgmt and safety director positions. I do know that the new president has been a long time jbs employee, so i guess time will tell.
