Phriend, I'm unsure of your gender and don't want to make an assumption.
If you are a female there is no need to turn your head and cough and I am uninformed about checking women for hernias.![]()

Does anyone happen to know of a state who's DOT does not require their doctors to touch my pecker?

(Again, this is a serious question). -
Dude its gonna happen
Just suck it up. But if theyre touching you there
theyre a little high or if your worried about the nurse they see so many theyre all just sausage links
-
Only about 1/3 of my DOT physicals does the doctor or nurse check for hernia. At least I hope those were doctors or nurses, hmmm. OK, the Korean nurse, I don't care if she was an imposter or not.

Some trucking companies will accept a DOT physical exam from any doctor. Other trucking companies require you to use their designated doctor. It's not uncommon for CDL schools to send you to a DOT physical and then your company require you to go to their doctor a few weeks after the school's doctor exam. -
Frank has never been touched during a DOT physical. It's the beans that get the attention.
I can't imagine why this would be such of a concern.Jarhed1964 and Injun Thank this. -

Maybe he's got a hair trigger and tends to spring into action with a light breeze. Some guys just don't like their stuff touched.
No idea how he's going to deal with a prostate exam when the time comes for that.
If it's a phobia thing, take a Valium before your hernia check. If it's an issue of shyness, grow up. I am a woman, for those who don't already know. I was an EMT for ten years. Genetalia is part of the human anatomy and needs the same care as the rest of the body. As a medical professional, I saw so much "junk" that I was surprised I could get turned on by my (then) husband. As far as I was concerned, it was just an extension of skin.
If a medical pro is fondling your meatus rather than placing their fingers on your perineum, you will have a fairly substantial lawsuit. So consider it a potential payday and go get the checkup. It is a normal part of a male physical exam. Every man in this profession has had it done at least once.
You can think of it with pride as a sign of manhood that your perineum was checked for weak spots.
However. If your reason is that you know you already have a hernia and you are trying to hide it, best get it repaired before entering this field. You don't want to be hauling yourself into a trailer or lifting freight with an existing hernia.
If it's because you're a hermaphrodite, you won't be the first entering this line of work. A female to male trans? Again. Not the first.
Man up, grin and bear (bare) it and know you are in the company of some pretty cool dudes.roadkill4512, Jarhed1964, Mud Dog and 8 others Thank this. -

In the case of a hair trigger. All he needs to do is "clean the pipes" a time or two prior to the exam.
Injun, Diesel Dave and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
