Bummer.....
-
and make dang sure it will NOT SHIFT thats what happened to someone not that long ago here in iowa
i am not a crush crap car hauler but i seen the end result it was not pretty -
We've got a power only contractor that hauls our cars occasionally, he had a load shift on an on ramp and laid it on its side, thats when they went from flats to the car hauler trailers here.
-
OK, Well here is my first load. They are ugly for sure. Making sure there are no loose parts is time consuming and you get real dirty. But in 3 days Ive made more money than I ever did in 7 days of OTR and I'm home every day. Thanks to those who had useful advise and information
. Not sure what to say to those who just post random useless input
.
BryRylanKW Thanks this. -

Anyone around the boston area know who to get in with running cars? guy at the scrap yard said the company he hires leases the drivers trailers and they do there thing have to call him and ask what company that was I guess.
-
Be prepared to occasionally see the occasional Awwwwwww car in the mix; as in Awwww, why did they crush THAT one?". I've seen cherry cars like '65 Impala Big Block reduced to a squashed tin can.
-
o yeah i know what ya mean I ran scrap with my pick up and gooseneck for years and some of the stuff you see in line to be crushed is a shame.
that mustang made a few people grumpy

Steering wheel holders (interstate drivers) need not apply for the car haulin job. Take all your flatbedding experience and throw it out the window if u have never hauled cars. Its a whole differint ballgame, youll have a whole new respect for the road and load.Ive hauled cars for about 5 years on some of the most crooked and jacked up roads in the country and enjoy the #### out of it. You never have to worry about not gettin work..I'm not sure if drivers are scared of it or just afraid of a little work. Chains n boomers are the absolute best way to tie a load down, straps and cables are just askin for an accident..If u cant throw the chains over.. ur loader man might let u set them over before he puts a stack on the trailer that way ur dress doesn't get dirty! So for all u pretty boy steering wheel holders, ride with a good leaning load once and youll appreciate a "garbage hauler". If u see a load spilled it wasnt loaded right...plain n simple!!!!
