Yeah but ya gotta subscribe to their service for a fee.
-
Well that sucks... Might as well sign on with Verizon then.

When I first started I tried the truckstop wifi.
I learned very quickly that it is both expensive and very, very slow. That is, if you can connect at all unless you are inside.
I went with Verizon MyFi.
You will spend $20 per month for a TS chain (Petro/TA, or Flying J/Pilot...).
But then, you have to be at that TS to access it. Some have good connections, but most are very marginal. If you are not very close you will not have a signal. By close I mean a few hundred feet, so right up front.
I spend $80 per month with Verizon, but I can connect just about anywhere. Sometimes it is through a roaming network, so it is slower, but I still connect. With TS connections, you have to be at the TS.
And did I mention, they are usually very slow and unreliable?shoelessjoe and Rollover the Original Thank this. -
recently I heard they are expanding wifi access from a location to a regional area which basically means a couple more feet I am guessing.

And you know companies can not keep going with out you paying for it. Its the American way to make money off people who cant afford it.

I believe you may be misinformed. It's the "American Way" to make money by providing something that people actually want. There is no free lunch.Rollover the Original, Zangief, Jarhed1964 and 1 other person Thank this.

I use the Virgin Mobile wireless USB stick.
It works pretty well and is much faster that truck stop wifi.
Also there is no contract.
I got a deal through Walmart for 20 bucks a month and only pay for the months i use it. -
That's what I did,$50 a month

Heard so many bad stories about the TS wifi networks. Loved the one about the unlimited plan that actually had a limit. The driver goes in and talks to the manager, who shows him the fine print.
-
Never knew that they limited the time on the truckstop wifi service.
Did know that the air cards they sell were limited though.
