Time to look for another job!
I see these larger fleets doing this all the time, out 14 days or more to earn 2 days off...
    The heck with that!
I'm home every weekend and usually a night or two during the week.
I average 2500 to 3000 miles per week.I might use the bunk once or twice a week and run from NC to Florida and up to Philly.

Thats why they don't send drivers home they already know they are screwing them so if they cant get home less chance they will find another job less turnover. Most drivers don't want to leave a job without another waiting companies take advantage of this

With an internet connection, a cell phone and access to a fax machine all you need to find another job is a little time. Not going home never was a factor in me looking and finding other work. Sitting without a load however was always a sure way to have me resuming my job prospecting endeavors.

If you work for a company that is just total trash you do, when does the truck get serviced during that time, when does it get washed, you can tell the drivers who stay out that long, they look just like their truck, greasy, worn out, this is the image that America has of truckers, another slow piece of crap going down the highway.

To answer your question as some have here, it IS LEGAL to NOT have hometime. That's between the carrier and you. You can complain or quit I guess.

Some guys are home virtually every weekend (essentially a 34hr reset) and some that are on Roehl's 7/4-7/3 program get home after 7 days and some that stay out for many many months at a time...

To chastise a guy that want's to come home after one month out isn't all that fair. We don't know his situation and personal needs...and each of us has a different tolerance/need for time away from home.

Pick your poison. I haven't been home in 3 months and will be out another 3 months. When I do head for the house it will be for 6 months. Or IF I could find a job at the house it wouldn't even pay the bills. That's the trade off for me.

I had a home weekend job once. I got home Saturday and left Sunday. I was home weekends.

I don't know about you but the bills don't stop coming. You go home, you get a little itty bitty check the next week. I stayed out 6-7 weeks on average. That's typical for a long haul driver.

I disagree, Some of the trucks these long haulers use look much better than the ones who sit home all the time and collect dust.
