I worked as a lease team/CDL instructor at prime... Set aside all the arguments that we didn't know how to run a business and listen... Only a certain percentage of drivers are successful at prime... They constantly play games and most definitely take advantage of newbies,

Went 5 weeks without a check quit now we lease with a better company and net after everything $2000 a week on average... Contrary to what prime would tell you we do know how to run our business

And btw while at prime our fuel costs were well below company averages

So which company did you decide to switch to? Its always good to hear both sides of the story and if you found a better job/ lease program feel free to share that info. You may help others make a better, more informed decision.

I am new to the business but not new to business. Here is what would help me: I want to talk to a hard working driver for PRIME who was a company driver and then did a lease. Bottom line did you make more money? I don't give a rip if Mr. L or whoever he is made a million dollars off of me. If he did, so what, he must be a pretty sharp guy. Now if he is being dishonest and the drivers who lease LOOSE money, then he is not such a great guy!! It's business and it's free enterprise......that's the American way. Bottom line, is this: if i am a company driver and I average 3,000 miles a week for 50 weeks out of the year, if I lease will I make more money or less money doing the exact same thing. A simple questions deserves a simple answer.

Ask IronPony. That's exactly the route he took.

Currently happy at Crete and not planning on leaving yet, but just out of curiosity,i too would like a simple answer to your question about Prime. One reason being that Prime seems to be one of those polarizing companies, where drivers either hate them intensely or love them very much.
Just interested in a simple answer to the question.
One never knows what direction I may want to go in,if I ever get dissatisfied with my current position.
I look forward to as simple and as straight forward an answer that is possible to the question asked in the above qoute.

Got some answers from the 'Prime Reefer Drivers' thread in the company DAC reports section.
