bad truck stop accident

    okay this is a bad truck stop accident rolled into one, we were parked at the pilot in denver I-70 exit 276A the parking in the back is tight hard to get the swing around on a 45 or 90 back in, let alone make a U-TURN ? Dont know why this guy tried a u-turn but when he swung around the back end of his trailer ripped into the side of are truck putting a hole in the back part of the fender all the way to the passenger door, and came 2 inches from are fueling tank, now are freightliner is in the shop and we are in the motel in limbo, not knowing if we get are truck back or go into another truck lol by the way this happen 2 days before my home time WTF now my road time gets extened sucks hope my luck gets better lol thanks for reading this :biggrin_2551:

    I try never to park in any truckstop unless just stopping for showers, watch all the idiots trying to back in/pull out of a space, I try to find a rest area or parking area.
    The one time my truck got hit was in a pilot, guy tried to blindside back, he did not make it.

    To the OP, does stink, hope things get better, for the England driver, If your are in a Lease truck paying 14cpm screw the driver charge, 80cpm mt, 90 cpm loaded, you dont understand it, sorry, no offence, but I worked for CRE back in the early 90's, never been a high paying job, but they where descent to there drivers, at least to me, when I came back over the road, back in 07', that screw the driver charge was 8cpm, now at 14cpm, in a lease truck with CRE, you will pay more than twice what the truck is worth adding the 14cpm, not a good deal for anyone, except CRE, and thats the truth

    Tuesdays while at Dole Frozen in Atwater,CA i saw a CR England almost do the same thing. Onece he was in mid u turn, he realized he wasn't going the clear a truck in front of him, so he starts to back up,,, only problem, to back up, he would of had to taken the front end off another England truck sitting on the loading dock. So the truckj he was goning to hit first, moved out of the way so he could make the u trun,, Once that was done, the triner jumps out of the truck, surveys the folded in Fairing on the back of the sleeper.

    i hate that pilot, i dont even like to fuel there. actually its true i dont really like any of the ts' in denver now that i think of it, but that is by far the worst. i only park in here because i can sleep at home.
