What companies have installed dashboard cameras or will let you install your own (at a cost to you, the driver out of your own pocket) so things like this cant be blamed on the trucker?

Mount it yourself. Nobody is perfect, it would suck to have the company safety department reviewing every minute of your driving. IMO

The cameras I was looking at use an SD card..

get a window mount for the cam, your not going to damage the dash.
Have a couple of firends who took it upon themslevs to buy thier own and mount them in thier company trucks, and one has already gotton out of ticket, for a wreck he was involed in, cause it showed the car cut him off and there was nothing he could do to avoid bumping into the car. -
I mounted one in mine when I was driving. I only used in is heavy traffic, or inclement weather. I just used one of those flip type cameras. Worked great.

The really stupid part about this video is the car had a clear lane ahead. No need to cut over so quick.

I've seen this happen so many times to my husband, so many close calls.

Wish I had 1 when driving in the low rent district in Buffalo NY. When I was in the city one of these smucks rode down the sidewalk with right side tires and the other side in the curb lane. Just missin lightploes. i had to stop to let him by. Great film to teach new drivers. still have some people who don't believe it
