I believe a majority of Americans feel the way you all, and myself, do about what should be done to reduce the possibility of an attack by terrorist. I have been to Iraq twice, the last one completely different from the first... The first one,,,we ruled that country, no question. We also made friends, no question... The 2nd tour,,,we were at their mercy...

My point, they responded better when we fed them fear, but they KNOW America is weak... "A Few Good Men"... We are weak, and as long as we continue to elect weak leaders, we will continue to be weak...

To beat a terrorist, we must become what they fear..... What does a person fear that does not fear death? I know...

I'd say it's the older Americans that feel that way. The younger generation wasn't around when 9/11 happened. They don't remember what the country was like before. They don't realize pulling out of the region would be our biggest mistake because they don't know the history between our relations. All they see is the billions of dollars the war costs taxpayers. They don't see the 3,000 civilian lives that were lost that day. They don't know the difference between a conventional war, and a un-conventional war. The last thing we need is another 9/11. Or another Pearl Harbor.

We need to just keep the media at home and let our boys go "FULL AUTO", the terrorists don't play by the rules, neither should we.

Yet here we are. Trying to fight an unconventional war with conventional tactics. We should give them a pearl harbor or a 9/11 to remember. To helll with what the international community thinks. Let's show 'em some of that Shock and Awe. The Japanese hit us with an unprovoked attack once. I'd say the terrorists are getting off pretty easy. Maybe we should show them some footage of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a little reminder of what we're capable of. But it's not just us anymore is it? Anybody with enough money can purchase a nuclear weapon. So, we're just at a big stalemate with the mutually assured destruction thing. I guess it's a good thing my finger isn't on the button. I'm just tired of hearing about our men and women continuing to die over there. When it seems like for every terrorist we kill, there are 10 more willing to take their place. When does it all end? When one of us has had enough and punts the nuclear football?

When the Japanese attacked, it was clear that it was the act of the nation.

When they attacked us in 2011, was it clear who attacked?

After all, 16 of the terrorists were Saudi's. Maybe we should have nuked them as an example of not putting up with it.

Such an action would have made a clear statement.

"I'm not worried about the guy that wants 5 nukes... I'm worried about the guy that only wants 1".

I'll give you a virtual cookie if you tell me the movie that quote came from.
