See if conway freight or fedex freight is hiring in that area.

You'll probably not be able to find an LTL or other job that gets you home every day with no experience. (with the exception of some ratty local company you're better off not messing with.)
You're only chance is to go OTR with one of the bigger companies, keep a clean record for 1-2 years, and start looking then.
With all of the experienced OTR drivers sick of the road, and working conditions, local jobs are hard to find, worse than before. -
People need to quit about not getting hired @ an LTL company with no experience. I did it
Just go to an accredited trucking school with at least 160 hrs, clean license, clean background and show that you're all about working and try your luck. Each are has different needs and you could luck out. Bigger metro areas might be a little tough but its worth a shot.
I got hired at Freight with zero experience. I went to an accredited school and had all my endorsements. a clean license and no spotty past.garnetandblack247 Thanks this. -
Thanks man. Con way told me toto apply when I graduate. I will actually have 240a hours of class time. I live in Greenville SC so. Your right getting hired local isn't impossible like everyone tries to shove down your throat. I get enough of that from recruiters. I understand the reasoning behind it and I know experience is gold in the industry. It just not an option until my grandfather doesn't need me
