Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Uh well, on your resume or applications, why dont you just put that your drove OTR, that could mean over the region
, there is really no difference between the two except a few states. Some companies say regional is NW, SW, West Coast, 11 Western, whatever, but in most cases you are always crossing state lines into a couple of states and to me, that would qualify as OTR. If you can consider it OTR then it would not be a lie.

Look up Caledonia haulers in Caledonia. They have a website.
-
I did need 1 year otr exp. I have regional Mn,wi,Ill,Ind,Oh,Ia
-
Any thing more than the surrounding three states would give you OTR wouldn't it?

Try Transport Designs out of Savage Mn. They want get you home every weekend but pretty close to it they run out and back to the west coast.

Roehl is out of wisconsin. Not sure about hometime on the weekends, but if anything, youd probably qualifiy for their hometime fleet where you could slip seat and drive 7/3 7/4, or a 7/7. That may make the wife and kiddos happy. Try Hormel out of Austin? You could be hauling Spam!
-
Got it narrowed down to Kane transport (Tanker Fuel)/Lawrence transportation (Reefer).

Hormel doesn't have their own trucking company. Mostly the go through Heartland Express and McFarland. I've heard some not so good remarks about McFarland. But a local job is a local job. Could be worth looking in to!!
There is always Dart out of Minnesota. They're all O&O though, so if you have the means to own or lease your own truck, then they're a great company to work for, so I've heard. -
The school I'm in leases their trucks from Lawrence. Good company from what I've been told by my instructor. Then again, he might have a little bias since he's worked with them for so many years. But I trust him to give me a straight enough answer when I ask for one.
