Breakdown, and layover pay is the same. $40.00 per 24 hours. More of you leash....
While Central does pay you to load and unload your truck it's not worth it and most shippers and receiver won't let you.. Enjoy the nap...
Idle policy. 30% per month.. Quite doable. Fuel bonus is based on idle time and total mileage.. Under 20% and over 9500 you get a Penney per total miles, 20-25% you get half a penny. 25-30% you get nothing over 30% you pay them.. They do allow for special circumstances like getting stuck in Texas for a week.
There is a productivity bonus too. 1 cent per mile if I you exceed 10.5k per month.
Safety bonus is $75 per quarter provided you attend one in terminal and 2 online classes in that quarter..
Vacation is 7 days aver one year and based on an average of your previous years pay.
Please note that some of this changed if you leash the truck... Yes I meant to say leash both times..

True it changes. Lease you get no layover, idle bonus, productivity bonus, vacation, or break down pay. Only miles for what you do. Is it worth it? Each person must decide. If your single, maybe a little more worth it. A family man, don't do it.leatherman and celticwolf Thank this.

I'd help but i only go to 2 states.... CA and NV. LOL
-
do you work for central? and if you do do you have a dedicated route? if so how long did it take for you to get it?
-
are you talking about leasing a truck?
-
Yes. All those things are stuff you can get S a company driver. You don't get them when you go lease.
-
hmm leasing just doesnt seem like an easy way to make money. I want to work for central but i would be very wary of them pushing a lease onto a new driver
-
They will encourage it. But they don't force it. Yes you can make a little more than if you stay company but the risk/reward is a very close margin.
celticwolf and Nycmex77 Thank this. -
Back when I was deciding whether or not to lease, I calculated that I would need 5 good weeks (not average weeks) to make up for one bad week. Since my good and bad weeks have been about even. I figured it wasn't in my best interest since having a good week or a bad week is mostly outside of my control.
